On August 4, amochan8878 reported that Saffylaffy (FF.net) had plagiarised a Death Note story by hari_aisu (LJ and FF.net), "Discordant Harmony", renaming it to "The Search for Love".

The OP had sent a PM to Saffylaffy about the plagiarism. They did not get a response but noted that Saffylaffy changed the story's disclaimer. The story has since been pulled from FF.net ( Read more... )

I really can't believe this person would be so low to not ONLY steal one story, but steal TWO from HarryPotterFanFiction and claim them as her own at fanfiction.net.

I had caught her two nights ago and sent her, fanfiction.net, and both the original authors emails, but no replies.

A week ago, I was informed that one of my Final Fantasy VII fics In the Closet (NSFW!) from April 2009 had been plagiarized. The culprit is furzkopf who posted an almost identical version of my story as a piece of K-pop fiction also titled, creatively enough, In the Closet, on the 17th of February 2011.
